Ikea's STOCKHOLM leather sofa is divine! It has the lines of a vintage sofa but the advantage of being new. Actually the whole STOCKHOLM collection is really cool! It's totally mid-century modern and priced right. Look how it compares in look to some vintage sofas...
Here's some other items I like from the
Nesting coffee tables, simple mid-century lines and gorgeous wood tone.
Walnut veneer chairs, beautiful curved shape.
Creamy white glass cabinet with walnut legs.
The new Ikea catalog is out. Check it out. ~~christine~~ pics from Ikea and pinterest.

Back in the 1970's and 80's everyone drank white zinfandel,
it was the "In" wine to drink.
What most people don't know is it was actually a mistake made at the Sutter Home Winery. The owner was trying to make Rosé wine and basically screwed up, but made a gazillion dollars anyway. The real deal is French Rosé from Provence and is the quintessential summer wine. It's made from red grapes, but is crisp and served cold like a white white. It pairs with everything we eat in the summer, grilled meats and seafood, salads, pasta and even cold food with vinaigrettes and garlic.
Our own West Coast is making some great ones now that aren't sickly sweet like the white zin of the old days. Sunset Magazine did an article this month declaring Pink the New White. Here's some of their recommendations:
Charles & Charles 2013 Rosé
(Columbia Valley; $11)
"Strawberry, white raspberry, kumquat, and rose petals, walk on the wild side." Sunset Magazine
Inman Family 2013 "Endless Crush" Rosé of PinotNoir
(Russian River Valley; $25)
"Tart raspberry and bright citrus with hints of wet earth and honeysuckle".
Charles Heintz 2013 Rosé of Pinot Noir
(Sonoma Coast $19)
"Lovely florals, red berries, grapefruit, and earth in pinpoint balance." Sunset Magazine
